Small Bathroom Cabinet Refresh | Morro Bay
The Project
This Morro Bay bathroom was small but thoughtfully laid out. The cabinetry was in good condition, but the original wood finish made the space feel darker and more enclosed than the homeowner wanted. The goal was to brighten the room and give it a clean, updated look—without changing the layout.
Preparation
Because this was a compact space, preparation was especially important. Cabinets, countertops, floors, mirror, and lighting were fully masked and protected. The cabinet surfaces were thoroughly cleaned, lightly sanded, and primed to ensure a smooth, durable finish.
The Update
The cabinets were finished in Sherwin-Williams 7005 Pure White, a crisp, timeless color that instantly lightened the room and reflected more natural light. For durability and a smooth factory-like finish, Envirolak 20 was used on the cabinetry, providing a hard, washable surface well suited for a high-use bathroom.
