Full Home Exterior Repaint For A Arroyo Grande, CA

Arroyo Grande, California | Full Exterior Repaint for a Coastal-Inspired Home

This Arroyo Grande home was a large and beautifully designed property that required an exceptional level of detail and craftsmanship. With multiple gables, extensive trim, and unique architectural features, the project demanded precision and care at every stage. The homeowner wanted more than a simple color update—they aimed to preserve the home’s character, enhance its curb appeal, and ensure long-term protection against the elements.

Getting Started

The process began with a full inspection and color consultation to align the design vision with the home’s architecture. The homeowner selected a warm, nature-inspired palette featuring:

  • Sherwin-Williams Tate Olive on the upper siding
  • Sherwin-Williams Quincy Tan on the lower siding
  • Sherwin-Williams Monroe Bisque on the trim and railings
  • Norwich Brown on the gables for depth and contrast
  • Spicewood on beams and posts to add warmth and accent

Together, these tones complemented the home’s setting and created a balanced, cohesive appearance.

The Work

Preparation played a key role in achieving a lasting result. The team power washed the entire exterior to remove chalking and debris, then applied a Seal Krete primer to secure the surface and promote strong adhesion. Damaged areas were repaired, sanded smooth, and re-caulked to seal gaps. Trim and fascia were carefully wrapped and masked for crisp, professional lines.

Two full coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior Acrylic Latex were applied to the siding, while the woodwork, trim, and railings were finished with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel—providing superior durability, weather resistance, and a refined finish.
