Kitchen Cabinet Transformation Cayucos
A Fresh Coastal Update for This Adorable Beach Home in Cayucos
The Vision
This sweet beach home had great bones, but the original wood cabinets were making the kitchen feel darker and a bit dated. The goal wasn’t a full gut remodel — it was to brighten the space, modernize the look, and keep the character of the home.
Cabinet painting was the perfect solution.
The Plan
We carefully prepped and painted the kitchen
The homeowners chose a beautiful two-tone combination:
- Upper Cabinets: Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee (OC-45)
- Lower Cabinets: Sherwin-Williams SW 9133 Jasper Stone
This pairing created a soft, coastal contrast — light and airy above, grounded and rich below.
The Process
Our team followed our full 5-step cabinet system:
- Degreasing and deep cleaning
- Scuff sanding for proper adhesion
- Professional cabinet-grade primer
- Spray application in a controlled booth setup
- Careful reinstallation and final walkthrough
The result is smooth, durable, and built to last.
Products Used
- Envirolak 20 cabinet finish (for both upper and lower cabinets)
The Outcome
What once felt heavy now feels fresh and bright. The two-tone design adds just the right amount of personality while keeping that relaxed beach-home charm.
A simple cabinet refresh completely transformed this kitchen — proof that you don’t always
