Front Door Refresh in Shell Beach
Shell Beach, California | Staining & Refinish
The Project
The front door had started to fade from the sun and ocean air, losing its warm color and natural charm. With the entry being the first thing guests see, the homeowner wanted it looking refreshed and protected again.
The Work
Browder Painting cleaned and smoothed the wood, then applied a coat of PPG ProLux (Sikkens) Dark Oak in a satin finish. The wood immediately looked richer, and the grain stood out beautifully. A clear satin topcoat was an option for added protection, but even the first coat made a noticeable improvement.
The Result
The front entry now feels clean, polished, and inviting — a simple refresh that made a big impact on the look of the home.
Products Used:
- PPG ProLux (Sikkens) Dark Oak — Satin
- PPG ProLux Clear — Satin (optional)
